I just walked through my livingroom that was used for an Imaginext pirate/dinosaur war of some sorts and simply kept going until I was able to hide away in my office. How refreshing to jump on here and read your post! Fantastic reminder.LINDA'S BOOK GARDENhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02380644949713158187noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7844706754587540365.post-3726911495664081692010-06-10T08:18:17.419-07:002010-06-10T08:18:17.419-07:00Life. TOY. THEY. OWN. SCATTERED. And the paper clutter. The juice cups. The laundry: dirty, clean, folded, unfolded, questionable. It is never ending, isn't it? And yet, I really wouldn't want a house that looks the same at the end of the day as it did when I woke up. I really wouldn't. Well, not for more than a day or two. We live in our house. All together. Messily.Jenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13969567138255166449noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7844706754587540365.post-64943468997724702202010-06-09T20:14:43.323-07:002010-06-09T20:14:43.323-07:00That last line made me want to cry! I have a 2-year-old and a 5-year-old boy. My house has to be immaculate to sell it. This is going to be ridiculous. It almost makes me feel sad that I am going to have to pack up so many toys and make our house look like a museum! I don't know if I'll be able to do it! Thanks for writing this post & reminding me that a "lived in" look shows signs of life. That's a good thing!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10860394940190403196noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7844706754587540365.post-32331736496833447482010-06-09T09:36:08.999-07:002010-06-09T09:36:08.999-07:00Meagan, that's a beautiful post. Empty next syndrome - to continue your bird theme...it will be painful to wander round a tidy house - without gathering odd socks, tupperware lids, sippy cups and pacifiers as I walk from one room to the next. That already hits my heart. Great post.Paulahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05007172201624870451noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7844706754587540365.post-23564548142707383982010-06-08T12:35:12.222-07:002010-06-08T12:35:12.222-07:00How lovely that the mess served a useful purpose! ...How lovely that the mess served a useful purpose! I totally agree - I know that I will (strangely) miss the days of stepping on Barbie's heels or trying to find my scissors under the mess on my daughter's art table!
